I’m the opposite. I was detoxed from Hunter when I was still really a newbie to manga and anime. 2009-2015. I came back for CA 2011

The problem I got was that I’ve read the wide majority of translated/rated acclaimed manga, from every demographic, I’ve watched most original anime, played and watched a bunch of JRPGS, even dipped in VN and LN.
Now that I’ve consumed a shit ton of Japanese media, there isn’t much to search for if you don’t know Japanese. And I don’t plan to learn Japanese.
There isn’t much manga I haven’t read these days that’s not some obscure axed 3 volumes comedy or something.
Now that I’m past my peak Japanese media phase, Hunter enters a unique space in my consumption mind. Like, I’m not an old head, all the new popular shit people like (chainsaw man, Dandadan, Frieren, bugle call, etc), I enjoy. But none of them are Hunter for me.
