I wouldn't say it's a career but I think of it more as a hobby cause I sparingly make money from it. Most I've made from my work has probably been 1k every few months for writing one indie comic that's an ongoing. I won't be quitting my day job anytime soon cause I enjoy stable income.

Honestly I used to put a lot of my self worth into my comics thinking that the external stuff (fan base mostly) would bring me joy. It honestly made me more miserable when that wasn't the case cause I've written almost ten comics now and only ONE caught on with a somewhat consistent fanbase. I changed up my mindset to not view this as something to gain fame but just cause I liked writing stories. I have more fun making the comics than I do posting them nowadays.
