I just wanna say
Deltarune but the story is Dess coming back to hometown and being dragged into the darkworlds conspiracy, after an event where Kris disappears. Would be a lot like Knight in the woods. Especially with Dess reconnecting with old friends like Pizzapants and presumably Catty. And Asriel coming to visit by the end of the week takes on a whole new meaning as well.
Oh and there's also the bat thing, Dess would use one and Mae also uses one.
