I always thought this character had a great premise because she's the ultimate martial artist already and I wanted to see Batman help her grow as a person and teach her to be a human being but I read the 3 TPs they released of her 2000 series and that was hardly the case, since Batman was a fucking jerkass during that time. He was a fucking daddy issues asshole in this series and he treated her like he treats everyone, leaving Oracle to be the one to guide her, which I found a little dissappointing. I still liked some of the issues (not when they magically took away Cass's autism though, that was bullshit), the art was great, some covers and moments were really iconic (pic related, her friendship with Steph, that one issue where Dick, Tim and her re-enact a crime scene), but overall, the first 37 issues left me a little cold. Not bad, but maybe I just overhyped myself.
So how's the next part of the series? I mean, I will probably still buy it if/when it's re-printed in DC Finest but what's the consensus on it?
