KOF 15's presentation is so bland. It felt like they were trying to go for something sleek, atmospheric, and kinda futuristic, but it's just boring to look at. Look at the Main Menu for instance. The KOF emblem in a dark-room with a spot-light shining on it is a tiny bit of a cool visual I guess, but it doesn't do anything for me. The lack of music which I'm guessing is for atmospheric reasons to accompany said visuals also doesn't really tickle my taint. KOF needs teammates in the background again among a lot of other things to achieve peak coolness again. It was unique. It's shame they abandoned it when they the NESTS saga came around, which was probably because of the striker system. I think I remember it being said that teammates in the background were going to come back in 15, but they couldn't do it because it was "resource-intensive" or something like that.
