Not because of the lies about Axel and his friendship with a character only introduced in this game and never heard from again for years after the fact because KH2 already happened so she couldn't be around for that.
Because there is no reason to hate Xion that much. Roxas, Axel and Xion are designed to mirror Sora, Riku and Kairi. Axel is the best friend with the moral conflict who he fights with and Xion is the borderline love-interest he wants to protect. From the perspective of him being an organization member Axel is his senior/mentor and Xion is his junior, Axel teaches him and he teaches Xion.
Roxas does interact with the other organization members and becomes sort-of friends with most of them in spite of the fact they know he is their enemy and it is kind of shown that most of them are decent people deep down. Don't know what you think is missing, it's like we played completely different games.
He does get mad at Axel but i'm not sure that is enough of a motivator for him to actually quit over. Having to kill his not-girlfriend and watch her die in his arms is kind of a bigger deal than Axel lying to him or even him being Sora.

She develops from Roxas teaching her, it puts Roxas in the mentor role and is one of the few points he has agency rather than just being the kid lectured by everyone else.

They're friends with a fake memory version of Roxas who is arguably an entirely different person. Axel and Xion are his actual allies who he fought alongside, overcame struggles and tragedies with.
