>keep making melee more boring and diluted with every new game after New Vegas
>Starfield doesn't even have melee finishers
>gunplay is somehow worse than Fallout 4's
>companions in Fallout 4 had more soul
>exploration is just non existent
>traveling to and from planets and between systems is just a monumental pain in the ass
>role playing is non existent
>choices and agency are non existent
>armor and clothing design are a slight step up from Fallout 4 in some areas, I guess...
>DLC was novel, but ultimately boring and wasted potential, and utterly wasted Andreja as a companion and love interest. Ultimate cardinal sin
>Story is pants-on-head retarded, and it's clear they just want Skyrim in space with no idea on where exactly they're going with it. It's all vague and obtuse by design, because the writers unironically haven't put that much thought into it. They are just hoping the players will see the resemblance to Skyrim and instantly get that serotonin kick and forget all about the nonsense
>Starship crafting is...interesting, but ultimately, a waste of my time, when it's such a pain in the ass in the long run. I'd rather just buy a lovingly-detailed, super cool starship that's already built on the outside while being able to fully customize its combat capabilities/compartments/furnishings. I do not play Bethesda games for this shit. I do not play Bethesda for building/engineering autism. Give me a player home with full customization on the inside, at the most. Anything more is too much and detracts from the primary point of engagement.
>Overall, everything is too sterilized and "safe." Not gritty enough, not violent enough, too PG-friendly. See the "exotic" dancers in Neon as just one example. All the female character models are as flat as cardboard and built like refrigerators. Wasn't that bad in Fallout 4, I Can tell you that much.
