The reason you wait until Day 2 to do the castle isn't because the basement is too hard day 1, it's so you can full clear the entire thing in a reasonable amount of time and then make a judgement call about taking on the boss up top.
Really sick of people running to castle day 1, leaving it after the bottom boss, and then coming all the way back day 2, it's shit routing and a waste of time when you could be more efficiently grabbing useful items and flasks around the map.
THAT SAID this is purely from an efficiency standpoint and if people want to do shit in wacky orders because it's fun to be challenged I'm all for it.

I always do Troll, Black Knife, duplicate weapon, headless guy before Astel, and then make a call for Astel if we have time or Dragonkin if we don't.
I think everyone in this game has a massive sunken cost with EVERY boss, people would rather throw runs than just admit 'ok we cant kill this' and back off.
