I'd like to know what this fag meant, too. Calling medkits "lives" is a major stretch (unless he's talking about something else), but I enjoy these kind of bizarre interpretations of game mechanics. They stimulate my autism. This reminds me of stuff like interpreting the optional hearts in Zelda games as a form of difficulty setting.

Speaking of which, I remember reading some giant schizophrenic infograph a guy posted years ago that explained how the song of time blocks in OoT were actually some incredibly clever mechanic to measure the amount of time you've spent playing the game without having an actual in-game timer, or... something like that. It was kind of retarded and incoherent but there was a glimmer of esoteric knowledge within.
