Anybody that actually played that game can tell you the pain about hopping onto a new star in CT only for Kirby to vomit out a bunch of your upgrade points for literally no reason and it gets picked up by passing players and AI.
There's also those times where the star you jumped on has maybe 10% HP remaining and you just fucking die.
Or maybe you find nothing but weight power ups and a Wheelie Scooter then it turns out the final event is Long Jump.

That's what made it fun.
