Is the challenge of the cube that you have to give up an easy source of advanced research or put up with an increasing number of your pawns becoming increasingly unproductive as their fixations grow? I've never once had a pawn actually go berserk from deactivating it and I figure it's a back-loaded hit of unproductiveness.
