They only reasonable stealth is avoiding confrontation entirely until you get into a position to get VERY loud and rapidly overwhelm every target with overwhelming firepower. If you're trying to sneak through bases and pick off enemies one by one you are unironically part of the retarded shitter teammate problem.
Here's a few tips to avoiding unnecessary confrontations.
>Enemies largely use noise to detect you and will investigate sounds
You can leverage this to your advantage with something explosive weapons like the eruptor/xbow. If a patrol is inbound, you can divert them by causing a detonation nearby them. They'll stop their approach and investigate the sound. You can also bait many of the guards to leave an outpost and investigate the noise outside. This is easiest with the xbow because the weapon's report is quiet, so you're less likely to draw any attention to yourself. It's still possible with loud things like eruptor if you gauge the locations of enemies properly and make certain that nothing identifies you prior to them being distracted by the explosion.
>reinforcements are on a global cooldown
If you see that teammates on the map have triggered a bot drop/bug breach/squid drop, then you KNOW that you have a short window of opportunity where the enemy can't call in reinforcements on your head. This is a window where you can aggressively push an objective while being very loud without fear of enemy reinforcement.
>Enemies only call reinforcements when they identify a helldiver
You can use sentries to engage enemies without triggering a reinforcement wave. Position the sentry to either kill all of the enemies themselves, or in such a way that it draws the enemies into the open where you can dispatch them.
>Use your radar
identify where enemies are and plan to kill them all before they call for help. Scout/unflinching armor can give you more awareness. Use sentries and strikes to overwhelm an outpost/POI's defenses in seconds.
