I say that about giving up but I know I could open a second instance in MelonDS and try to work my way to 100%, I just think it wouldn't be fun doing that now that I finished the game. I started with Tanemon which eventually ended up becoming a Lilamon. Since Lilamon is an Ultimate without an evolution, I was kinda hoping that there would be a fusion between her and Lillymon/Rosemon so that I could continue using her instead degenerating all the way back to Tanemon and following another line which is eventually what I did. I only got to evolve Tanemon into Taomon because I kept Lilamon capped at Level 46 hoping that the game would introduce me the Digiegg mechanic eventually so ended up degenerating very late into the game and I made sure to only evolve at Level 30 regardless of the stage so that I could keep the level stats. Moving away, I thought the farm was a cute mechanic even if I couldn't effectively use it. It reminds me of Super Training/Pokémon-Amie in Pokémon XY where you can see your Pokémon working up in the subscreen while you're minding your business. There's just way too many limits which alongside the slow menus made me use the farm just as a quest hub after I hit the Digimon cap.
