I mean, I think there's a skill in knowing when to give each character their own unique thing and when to repeat a motif to suggest something about the characters. Dave uses the same sword as Bro for the same reason he used to wear the same shades as Bro before John gives him the Stiller shades. It's as John says in his letter,
>i think you just gotta get out of your bro's shadow and spread your wings dude!!!
For a more extreme example, imagine giving each and every SBURB/SGRUB player character their own unique class AND aspect. That'd be a bad idea, because that wouldn't let the reader draw parallels between each of the characters and make interpretations not only on the mechanics of classpects but also what they say about the characters themselves.
