>Even if she thought Sonic wanted a baby in Battle, it just shows that her mind immediately goes to playing house. She's blinded by her own desires and will project them onto Sonic. She jumped at the chance to be a mother because she thought it would appeal to him. Her entire motivation is still shaped by what she thinks will get him to commit.
Tails put the idea in her head that Emerl was like Sonic's "baby". It's not Amy's fault for reacting the way she did, nor does any of it imply she wants to lock Sonic down. Again, most of what actually happens is combat training. Amy as a mom is someone who'd train her kids to be strong and powerful warriors, because action and adventure is what she craves.

>And asking him on a date isn't the problem by itself. The problem is that it's never just a date. It's always part of the larger goal to get him to marry her. Every action she takes is a step towards that one single outcome. She isn't impeding his free will, no, but she's trying to wear him down. To get him to agree to something he otherwise wouldn't be comfortable with.
Listen to yourself, dude. The girl can't even ask a guy out without you projecting all of this onto her, as if she's some conniving schemer. Like, geez, get off her back. Let Amy be Amy. She asked Sonic out, he's free to say "yes" or "No". At no point did she force anything onto him.
>That isn't something someone who genuinely loves someone else does to them. It's unhealthy. It's obsessive. It's harmful.
There is nothing bad about asking someone out. What the heck is wrong with you!? Like.... like... What is actually wrong with you?! Who thinks like this!??!?
>Amy asked Sonic out on a date? EVIL
That is how you sound. I don't understand how you can ever come to that conclusion and pretend it's a valid point.
>I'm really not trying to twist the lyrics.
Yes, you are. You are taking one line out of context, and using it to invalidate Amy's ENTIRE CHARACTER as if it's all a lie.
