I can see why you would bring up those moments, but you're looking at them in a vacuum and ignoring the context of her character's primary motivation.
In Heroes, the team is formed because Amy sees a newspaper clipping of Sonic with Chocola and Froggy. Her first line is wondering where Sonic is. Helping Cream and Big is the means to her end. That's why that team dynamic is a one-off that goes completely unexplored. It was never a genuine friend group. It was a temporary alliance for her to chase her obsession.
You can list these isolated moments of compassion but they almost always serve her primary goal of getting Sonic.
In SA1, she stumbles across Birdie while chasing Sonic and continues to pester him, using Birdie's safety as an excuse to keep Sonic around her. To anchor the wind.
In SA2, her speech to Shadow is a genuinely good moment, I'll give you that. But one good scene doesn't redefine a character who, in almost every other appearance, is a one-note stalker. Especially considering her other scenes in this game...
In Battle, she's playing house with Emerl. It reinforces her desire for a domestic life, the very thing she wants to force Sonic into. Being a nuclear family. The antithesis to the wind. Freedom.
In Unleashed, she accepts the Werehog... and then immediately tries to get him to go on a date with her. It always comes back to the same thing. This is her character. This is all she is. All she ever will be.
She is the anchor. My sweet passion is about wanting to "settle our lives" and have him be her "sweetest honey for eternity.". She doesn't want to be a partner in the adventure, she wants it to end.
It's a shame, really. A compassionate and action-oriented character can be a great companion for Sonic. Cream is a great example of this, but she does it because it's the right thing to do and she loves adventure. She is inspired by Sonic's example, not obsessed with possessing him. That's the difference between a friend and an anchor.

No, I am not.

Amy's priority in the story itself is caring for Birdie and reuniting them with their family, same with Cream & Big. Her core character motivation in-general is her love for Sonic, but these two things are largely one in the same. Amy is defined by love and compassion, and her love for Sonic is what "drives" her, and that same love is extended towards everyone else. It's because of her bond with Sonic that Amy is so upbeat and happy all the time, and that warmth is what Birdie, Cream and Big all receive. And just as she desires to be with Sonic, she empathizes with them also being separated from their loved ones.

With Team Rose, that's their shared motivation. Reunion with their missing loved ones. For Amy, it's Sonic. For Cream & Cheese, it's Chocola. For Big, it's Froggy. Their goals were aligned, so they teamed up and vowed to find them together as a team. And even after that first encounter with Team Sonic, Amy's main priority remains focused on helping Cream & Big find their friends, and her underlying motive of Sonic adds more fuel to that fire.

Also genuinely believes that this is what Sonic already wanted. Amy was told by Tails that Emerl is like Sonic's baby. Amy took it literally, and jumped to the conclusion that Sonic was preparing for having actual kids or whatever, so she immediately dived into the idea of being the best mother, out of the belief that this is what Sonic was looking for.

At no point is there any attempt to lock Sonic down into something against his will. Amy is doing what she believes will appeal most to Sonic.

This is 100% false, though. As I have said, as I have shown. Amy DOES NOT WANT TO END SONIC'S FREEDOM. We have an example of her literally stating this herself. And Amy's character is consistently portrayed as someone who craves action and adventure herself, and loves partaking in the adventures as well, and is driven by her own compassion and love to help anyone in need just as Sonic would.

This undersells that Sonic had already been shit since 1995. Sonic Crackers got turned into Knuckles Chaotix which sucked, then Sonic 3D Blast sucked even worse, and then Sonic X-Treme development went nowhere and Sonic R was a poor replacement for an actual game.

You could say Adventure 1/2 made up for all that to SOME extent...but they're flash in the pan games held up mostly by good soundtracks and the more serious stories resulting from Sega trying to chase FF7's success. Mechanically they're overhyped because the stuff that came later was so ass. And the stuff that came later was worse because Yuji Naka ran Sonic Team into the ground which has very little to do with any economic fallout from 9/11.

Ultimately two "macro level" things happened that were NOT specifically Naka's fault:
1. Culture pivoted hard towards children preferring realism and ultraviolence, Sonic could not survive being considered lame and "childish" compared to games like GTA, Shadow 05 was a bad attempt to catch up to that.

2. Lost decade, global financial crisis and simultaneous slow hollowing of both the American and Japanese middle classes. You feel this especially in the obvious budget cuts Sonic games had after Unleashed. The core audience is gone. People haven't felt economically stable enough to reproduce for the past 20+ years, past 30+ years in Japan. The kids we DO have in America prefer f2p games on overpriced phones Apple has convinced even poor people they need...I have no idea what Japanese kids are playing, probably Splatoon.
