Are Hifumi and Koharu serious characters, because they both starred in volume 3. Every single girl in this game is at least a little silly in one form or another, that doesn't have anything to do with being able to write a serious story. There's nothing stopping a gehenna volume other than dev time and resources. And a new volume would introduce a fresh cast of girls for gehenna just like every other volume anyway.
