The reality is all characters are either tsukkomi(straightman) sided or boke(idiot) sided.
The larger reality is that its a spectrum and what determines if any student is the straight men or boke is the intelligence/competence of the student besides them. Some smart students may choose the boke life while some dumb students may be forced into the role of the tsukkomi.

Gehenna is merely filled with students on the boke/idiot side of the spectrum. This makes what few straightman students they have stick out. Hina, Iroha, and Fuuka. Kasumi is a smart student who has embraced chaos while Junko is a dumb student who still clings onto a semblance of common sense in contrast to her peers.
This is not at all unique to Gehenna, just most flagrant there.

She is a genius, or at least she's methodical. The method to her madness is that she had to be very good at her job to be as lazy as she is, so that she doesn't have to do things twice. She runs the military very methodically so that she can optimize her off time. she begins as a character who is clumsy making terrible food. it's the stereotypical bad cook who poisons you but wants you to eat her food. you feel it's going to do down the usual route where sensei helps teach her how to cook properly and all's well that ends well. actually, no. this isn't the usual gag where she's just so clumsy and can't do anything right. sensei takes her step-by-step through the process and she actually replicates it but it still tastes wrong. sensei tries to break the trope cooking most of it but then allowing her to only add the finishing touch but it still goes wrong. not even sensei's magic can correct her cooking ability so she begins to cry and feel terrible the only thing sensei can do is try to encourage her saying to keep trying and she'll get it. her final momotalk isn't even her successfully cooking instead it's her gardening to show while she can't succeed at cooking she's got strength elsewhere and can find some level of enjoyment

this event has her actually succeed in cooking finally overcoming her mystic power which sensei couldn't even do. it's her greatest wish that she's been struggling with from the beginning. she's not actually a clumsy girl at all instead she's a very competent and meticulous waitress (part-time juri momotalk). it's only her mystic power holding her back but she partially overcame it with this event and now has a odd relationship with it.

i don't want a volume f for juri or "serious" development. i don't want her to some sorta torturous "character development" where she arrives back at the same starting point like abydos trying to roll the boulder up the mountain. they she got to make customers happy and reached her goal that's enough.

I just had a revelation. We have a lot of small clubs and we have students from mostly small clubs. But some clubs are actually big. Big to the point they have mobs. A lot of clubs/groups initially introduced as antagonists get mobs. Onsen club is probably the most club club example.

There exists a reality where near every club is actually larger/more official and has their own mobs.
Imagine, mobs for every single club.

there's an issue with bluefes roll system

as they add more bluefes rolls it becomes harder and harder to get older bluefes alts. even if you roll 1000 times there's no guarantee you'll get the stuff you want. i'm missing b.hoshino, s.hoshino, and d.hina after 1k rolls. this next bluefes i can get d.hina and then 6 months later b.hoshino if my luck is absolutely shit but what about people who start playing the next bluefest or the after that one?

even spending $1000 you might not grab a mika or d.hina two bluefes from now. it's cause you get dupes so they might get 3 wakamo/3 jk neru/3 rio instead of grabbing a single mika or s.hoshino. probably a year from now nexon is going to have to change this or release sidegrades/slight downgrads to stuff like s.hoshino. people are really going to be living in prebricked city if they start the game a year from now without some changes to this.
