And your mom is a badass, that's definitely the way to go, being objective and honest. Sadly when I'm not alone others tend to do the talk and when I'm alone it's that trainwreck I've described, but I'll follow your advice and work on my communication better (serves me right having a combust Mercury in the 12 -_-').

Regarding style... I've been trying to be more ladylike but I'm a tomboy at the heart, got few classic casual outfits in my wardrobe that could be useful in those situations. Can't wear makeup but at least I do some femme cosplay once a week with the church dresses and girly shoes.
