Oh yeah, there's rumors that the game had a huge graphical art style shift from either cel shaded or cartoony to realism late in development. These designs are "wacky" and they likely work better in cartoon look. Still would be an ugly mess, but whatever.

The realistic graphics pushes the game from fugly to VERY unappealing. The colors are all gross puke colors as well.
