I think the elites dramatically underrestimate how apathetic and amoral most Americans actually are to their own detriment. There wasn't a single major protest when not one but TWO U.S. Presidents were found to be involved in the blackmail ring. Americans by and large don't give a single fuck about kids being hurt so long as it isn't their own. In fact, most will start to bend over backwards to justify why their favorite celebrities/politicians aren't actually so bad even if they are guilty (see MAGA's response to Trump's Epstein 180).

The powers that can be can be as blatantly evil as they want and nobody will do dick unless they start starving to death. See late Tsarist Russia.

Tsar Nicholas II basically did everything possible while he was in power to ensure that he and his family members were eventually killed by an angry mob. It's hard to feel bad for the guy, which is why it's insane the Russian Orthodox Church made him a saint. I can understand his children maybe but not Nicholas II himself.
