I think that is just a very popular dynamic in sapphic ships in general.
If you consider Max to be a self insert for an assumed queer player/reader, then having a badass punk gf that comes to your rescue is just inherently appealing for many of the people who like these ships. It is a ship dynamic that goes back to at-least Xena and Gabrielle.
Give it a year and I bet a solid 90% of snora ships will have that same dynamic, with Swann in the role of hapless self insert and Nora as the self confident and competent girlfriend who saves her.
This is less a reflection of how pricefielders see Max/Chloe and more you not seeming to get/like sapphic shipping.
