So what is it about Playstation that drives Nintendo fans here into such obsessive levels of hatred for it?
>is it Sony's paid online?
Nope. Nintendo does that too with no puback.
>is it Sony's censorship?
Nah. Nintendo fans defended and underplayed recent examples of games like Neptunia getting censored on Nintendo. Not to mention Nintendo's prior and extensive history of censorship.
>is it Sony's wokeness?
That's not it. Nintendo were the ones who popularized the de-gendering of custom character creation in games with New Horizons (a game that also got dialog patches to avoid vague similarities to George Floyd).
>is it Sony's game prices?
Wrong. Nintendo fans did some incredible mental gymnastics to justify Nintendo not only adopting $70 as a standard, but introducing the brainworms of $80 in the industry in the same fell swoop.
>is it Sony's hardware prices?
Think again. Nintendo raised prices on Switch 1 hardware after nearly a decade without price drops as a scummy tactic to funnel people into the Switch 2 (and vaguely shifted the blame onto world economics).
>is it Sony's accessory prices?
Not at all. Nintendo tricked their fans into thinking the Pro Controller 2 is the perfect controller just because it's $90 and has an internal stick gate instead of using the shell.
>is it Sony's lack of exclusive games?
Doubt it. There hasn't been a single general Direct yet in the Switch's lifespan, while there were two by this point in the Switch 1's life.
>is it Sony's staff talking shit about their past games?
Hah! Aonuma recently talked shit about the pre-BotW Zelda games and cynically wrote off the possibility of anyone liking them for non-nostalgia reasons.
>so what could it be?
The only thing I can think of is Sony coming along and actually providing stiff competition for Nintendo with the PS1 and 25-30 years ago. But surely Nintendo fans aren't so fucking petty and vengeful to hold hate in their hearts for such an old "transgression". Right?
