I just hate the McDonald's playpen vibe THE games took on post-Jugdral, and the smallness of the worlds since then. Jugdral felt BIG and somehow serious. It felt like this actual continent embroiled in a generations-panning world war. No game has captured that vibe for me since, not Tellius and not 3H, even though they clearly tried. Sacred Stones in particular felt like the most nigger ass nothing world. It's more like a sitcom with fantasy dressing.
I won't be one of those fags saying FE stories have always sucked, but most of them do bore me even when they're competent. Just a total lack of imagination. Everything is done by the rulebook after Jugdral.
