Well I am building an archival library to preserve the endangered Timbuktu Manuscripts of Mali as a part of a larger zawiya, which is quite literally a lodge for homeless Muslim ascetics.

This serves a dual function, which is to preserve the Islamic manuscripts of West Africa from being destroyed and to attract students who study said manuscripts, as a zawiya functions as a mosque, madrasa, and monastery.

The architectural style is white mud brick, the Tunisian style, and the design itself is Al Janad Mosque in Yemen. In building the educational institution it may require expansion with additional buildings. The location is rural Alabama.

Sufi ascetics/mystics, Fakir, live in mosques full time. It requires a lot of discipline. That is why zawiyas exist, they are lodges for ascetics. These men take vows of poverty and join ascetic brotherhoods.

I have the blessing of Sayyid to build a beautiful zawiya down by the water in the woods. In a zawiya, a brotherhood of ascetics live in peace, prayer, study, contemplation, and meditation. The Shaykh is the Abbot essentially, it is the closest thing that Muslims have to a monastery.

I dream to build a majestic and sublimely peaceful home for the homeless. A palace for the poor.

I work to build a home for God where the poor can rest and be healed. I don't need much to be happy, my struggle is for you.
