Honestly, that answer is acceptable to me in a vacuum but I think it's undermined by how Hong Lu did very little before this and it didn't help much that Dante conveniently showed Lin Daiyu the truth. What I enjoyed about Canto 8 centered more on what the other Sinners said and did.
