I have a question I've been meaning to ask Borderlands-fags: Gaige and Ava broadly fall under the same character demographic, rebellious teen girls with a specialization in sci-fi tech. But Gaige is accepted, in some circles even beloved, as a fun character, whereas Ava is universally vilified as an obnoxious, intrusive, idiotic character. What's the secret sauce that makes people like Gaige, but dislike Ava? What went right/wrong?
