Yeah theres a good amount of stuff like that in there (mainly to facilitate guide sales and hotline calls) but nowadays its a thing of the past, I still remember getting stuck in Wind Waker's Triforce hunt and having to either buy a guide or just go to the library and print out what I needed to do next.
