The Chinks were theorizing that the OP foreshadowed the final fight taking place in the door dimension and the doors getting destroyed during it, giving Shouma his "Little Mermaid" bittersweet ending that Takebe talked about in an interview. Obviously that's not happening with Shouma, but there's still a chance it could happen with Lakia, one of the next episode's preview pics shows him falling in a white space with a bunch of rubble surrounding him.
