I like the gameplay, the whole street punk wigger vibe with the rapping and graffiti everywhere, its so bombastic and unapologetic, makes me lol. I can appreciate that, as well as half the newcomers being zoomer replacements to herald a new generation. From what I understand this takes place several years in the future in SF.

Dont know why /v/ shits on it all the time, altho Ive been told its just 1 or 2 schizos. They always focus on the hyperrealism being "ugly", I mean yeah it looks jarring sometimes especially in the VS screens making faces, but overall its not that bad, its an acquired taste. I focus on the gameplay, it seems most of /v/ just wants to post the same cherrypicked images over and over and focus on visuals instead of, you know, actually playing the game.

But Im not an 09er or oldfag or whatever the fuck you people use for buzzwords, Ive played these games casually since SF2, I might not have the best grasp on what makes each title different, I just love me some SF. Far as I can tell the Drive system is interesting and gives you lots of options. I think its better than the V system in SF5. At least everyone has access to a universal mechanic, in 5 if you werent blessed with a god tier V skill then you were out of luck.

I mean, if there's an autist out there right now that thinks the Drive system sucks, please, do tell me by all means why.

why do people keep comparing odyssey and bananza

bananza is more of an action-adventure platformer where you only platform sparingly, most of it is combat and terrain manipulation, odyssey is more platform oriented. The only thing they have in common is a dev team and their signature trademark 'tisms here and there like game progression, UI, etc.
