American protestants are "Get rich or die trying" types, European protestants are "I killed those children in a gas chamber because I was ordered to" types. It's hard to call it Christianity, it's more like Patrick-Batemanity, but apparently very good for GDP due to their extreme focus on work, social status and "fitting in".
