Narrative beats punctuated by meaningful gameplay changes. I do not want to dive squids for x hours with no changes. Make it a HARVESTER FIESTA or a CHARGER INVASION, those modifiers are a step in the right direction.
I want legitimate player narrative driven gameplay that could only emerge from a clan system. However, I recognize that's an impossibility atm.
Until then, the same back and forth more cleverly disguised with a degree of chaos added is fine.
