I know this advice will seem kind of stupid but fuck it. If you want to appreciate music more, then you should be playing it as loud as possible without annoying others or hurting your ears. The threshold for volume being "too much" is way higher than you probably think, especially on headphones. Lots of instruments are near inaudible unless you're BLASTING that shit
