Mini is a plot device that pretty much is a form of author apologia for Reiji's stalling of the story. She "speaks for the audience" so that she can (and therefore the audience) receive the contrived response thats supposed to explain why our two leads havent gotten together yet and to set up the next long winded arc before fucking off from the plot altogether for like 80-90 chapters. Then she eventually shows back up from nowhere to "speak for the audience" again.
She's pretty unnecessary as a character. When it comes to encouraging Kazuya to keep pursuing Chizuru or coming up with date ideas, Sumi was doing that originally. Didnt need Mini for that time Chizuru went with Kazuya to help at that daycare and find out that he is good with children or the time where they stayed up all night texting each other or the time where Chizuru tried to kiss Kazuya when he was passed out drunk. Just fucking write out scenarios where they end up spending quality time together.
