One Piece's universe has other planets. If pic related was accurate, you'd see more than one moon in the sky. Either that, or the sky in the past had more than one moon in the past and they got destroyed. It's easier to travel to space too, so there's definitely something going on outside the planet. I remember all the theories about Vearth being a prison colony abandoned by the past explorers, which also makes the first world mural more damning, there were definitely some shenanigans going on in outer space.

The Void Century is a drop in the bucket compared to what was really going on.
