But Im not putting down Mario for the sake of Kirby? I love Mario and I love Kirby. It does suck that one doesnt get as much dedication as the other in terms of content and direction, but Im not one to say one is better than the other when they are fundamentally different experiences.

You're saying that as if Air Ride's cherish is unfounded, did you even play it? I played it quite before the YT boom and I instantly fell madly in love with the game from the second I heard that Menu Theme (and that sick ass bass solo) and while I do think the game lacks a little in content, the Checklist alone gives you so much stuff to do for the little there is, giving you hours of genuine fun.
...So yeah, Air Riders is worth the hype.
