In the original script for Odyssey, Mario and Peach were going to get married at the end, there’s pictures of the concept art. Going back to Woolly World, I 100%d the first world and... whoever said this game was the closest to the SNES Yoshi's Island experience... Good sir, you can't be any more right, what the fuck.
This game not only manages to capture the feel for speed of the original, it actually feels a lot smoother to play in comparison of Yoshi's Island. Woolly World feels so awfully rewarding when you make the most of your moveset and resources. Game stresses so much about making things easier for you, but at the same time it respects your skills, allowing you to go crazy with just the basics and that is nothing short of incredible.
Also, 1-S... Good-Feel managed to even give the special courses the perfect balance between "challenging" and "stupid" that the original's special courses had and I loved Hang Tongue so much for it.

This game had everything right going for it except its platform of choice. The composer didn't work on crafted world so the music is subpar in that game, and even though Crafted world is decent-ish and has unique ideas of its own, Woolly World outshines it by far.
I've been hearing that a Switch port might've been leaked by Nintendo themselves, so I wouldn't be surprised to see it on the Switch soon. Game looks really good with HD, but the 720p (and even less on 3DS) hinders it a lot, so a Switch 1 or 2 version would look great.

People want to play the real tracks for three laps instead of for one. If the intermissions were something between three lap races you'd probably get some complaints that it's padding but they'd be significantly less controversial. Intermissions only don't cut down the amount of time you're on a track if it's one split up into smaller sections, which I think there's only three of.
The intermissions basically mean that you're spending a majority of the time off of the racing track in a race.

I find that the intermissions don't really have notable track quality most of the time, so they don't really do anything for me in that regard. The likes of Rainbow Road, Mario Circuit, and DK Spaceport that are the old sectioned tracks do this much better. Mount Wario works because it's one big thematically consistent experience that's tied together with the dynamic soundtrack tailored to what you're doing on the track at that moment and not the open road playing remixes that might generally fit the biome but don't really immerse you in the racce. The one big race fits in Knockout Tour but not regular gameplay. I just wish they could have done randomised knockout tours or something. You'd get some weird knockout tours but I think it'd be worth it.

I could drive most tracks with or without intermissions since it feels like going from one Mario level to the other, and it helps that they have quite a bit of traffic or other elements to keep them from becoming too monotonous. There's also some tracks that I really do not want to play without intermissions because the track itself is ass/mediocre without the road between it and another track.

It also helps that they taught me how you generally drive tracks in this game; big sponsor holos or sponsor signs indicate paths you cannot drive and the BCP arrows indicate that you can't drive that path because you've either already driven on that path or will drive on it in the future.

Air Ride's... uhh, Air Ride, is pretty lackluster on its own, that's for sure, but the addition of the checklists onto the mix serves for a fresh and complete experience for the little it has to offer. Not objectively, no. Different periods of animation are fundamentally different from each other in every possible aspect, specially the animation and writing. You can't pretend to compare a show from the late 80s and a show from the early 00s without handicapping one or the other... and this is while omitting the fact they are two different pieces of animation by themselves, at that point there is nothing to compare between the two.

On that note I enjoyed Hoshii no Kaabii better; it doesn't make it better or worse than Super Show, but the experience was more enjoyable for me.

Comparisons are a funky terrain when differences outnumber the similarities, but not many people seem to know that very well.
