Adepts generally had it pretty good outside of the whole mind control thing. It was the ever dwindling minos population who were all living in Fallout ruins and deadlocked in a losing eternal guerilla war. It's not like Sumeragi ceased to exist after Demerzel, Blade was put in charge of the co and Copen likely waved his gun around and told the rest of them to get in line or the muse starts to sing again.

I'm sure it also helps subdue any potential dissidents when the prior Iron Fist of Sumeragi and the fabled legend of the Minos both promotes unity and stability between the two.
