Biologically there's the "spiteful mutants" angle of course (high mutational load individuals who hate normies aka the genetic baseline and follow destructive urges).

It's probably a mix of these and other factors I haven't thought of.

But more than anything, society has just become such a lonely, torturous, treacherous, antisocial, sadistic shit show with no rewards for being a good stable moral person. Quite the opposite, you just become prey if you are. There's no way to win, in social life, in relationships, in career... yeah. That's my take.
