ehhhhh, catholicism is steeped in ritual and ceremony. its good for encouraging mystical thinking and magical thinking to avoid materialism and the issues with viewing the world as wholly rational. it has the issue though of divorcing you from god. i'd also say the excess of clergy comes with its downsides, its rigid and inflexible and has a habit of protecting bad actors within the church because catholics are heavily insular. Theyre very much training you to go a good catholic than a christian.
protties are varied in sect in denomination, depends on which youre following. Calvinists for instance dont believe in free will as everything is predetermined. Evangelicals are subhuman. Baptists can be good people or the worst motherfuckers you ever met. I still think the prottie values of picking up your bible and reading it for yourself and developing a personal relationship with god rather than using mediators and institutions however is inherently a net positive even if some people will come away with bad or warped perspectives because they read the bible wrong.
lol, anyway its funny because christians have always hated christians so this is just old tradition over doctrinal disputes .
