I'm barely surviving these fucking raids, got zhuk (press) with lvl III plates and somehow scav still managed to black out my stomach in 1 shot. Tried to do surgery but I ran out of fucking hydration and energy whilst doing it so I was wheezing constantly. Luckily the next scav had food and water so I somehow managed to do another surgery. My stomach was at fucking 9hp since it was technically 2nd surgery. Killed pscav that was trying to rush me, looted some more and tried to exfil but I ran across another pmc/pscav that blackout my stomach AGAIN. the prices are abysmal even for this bottom barrel hobo gear and even basic meds + a water bottle will set you back over 30k rubles.
i've passed on getting arena for a long while now but i think i've finally been buck broken enough to do it.

Usually AI is really easy to pick apart one by one, just gotta locate them and do quick peeks and tap them one by one. They will rarely move and sit in predictable, easy to get spots. use grenades to force them to reveal their positions.

PvE in this game is incredibly primitive. The standard for PvE is something like an 80% SR and 100 KDA for players who, in PvP, typically have no more than a 40% SR and 5 KDA.

I get that not everyone is destined to be talented at video games, but no one is asking you to play at a 2.5k ELO level from CS2. All that's required is the bare minimum to succeed, even in PvP. Tarkov isn’t a competitive game where esports pros will steamroll you. And in PvE, you could practically play with one hand and your eyes closed.

So yeah, you’re probably right. The issue with Tarkov right now is that all the cannon fodder has fled to PvE and isn’t playing real Tarkov. As a result, every map has become super sweaty. I usually go on reserve and sit below the dome, you can climb on the rocks for more height but you can shoot at dorms, knight buildings, the whole lot there and there's usually decent traffic. Sawmill I usually approach from the SouthEast and shoot into it, a bit less safe than Sniper rock but a lot of times the PMCs post up at odd spots where you don't have an angle. Ground Zeros I go to that central building where you gotta jump on the railing to get around barbed wire to the upper floors with the MGs/GLs and that gives a fairly wide shooting floor, though I'd recommend doing that at night since that map is kinda small and they'll laser you. Interchange, second floor from the north is decent since PMCs tend to congregate at the south end or upper middle area.

Big fan of the hardcore wipe, I think everyone (including BGS) is learning what makes the game actually interesting. In 1.0, I hope the fleamarket stays gone for good. Or at least, maybe you can only get junk/food from it (no gear). Scav timers should also be back at 1.5 hours. However, selling items to traders should be at the normal price. If anything, some junk items should actually sell to traders for a little bit more.

I've said it before, but simply removing the flea market solves a ton of the progression issues with the game. We don't need this fuckery with making items sell for pennies. With properly tweaked gear purchase limits from traders, you would see some great gear variety.

Play arena this weekend to build your confidence. Then understand that you are going to die in tarkov, youre going to die a lot. Doesn't matter youre skill level, you are going to lose kits and fail tasks. It's going to happen alot, learn to accept this.

Additionally, this is something i still struggle with, but its 10,000% easier to rat in a corner and play the defensive game than it is to breach a building and kill who ever is hiding in the shadows. With this in mind, If you have to capitalize on your spawn, move onto the hot spot before any other players arrive and adopt a defensive posture. If you had a bad spawn then just play it slow, but never be afraid to take the fight when it comes to you.

The whole thing doesn't make sense to me. It shows that only 1% of players got kappa and prestige 1 is held by 0.4% of players. Why make it impossible to do if 99% of players can't make it during the normal wipe?

There's the BTR questline, some newish? changes such as the Labyrinth, AK-50 (which is backported as an SPT mod), some earlier? quests that got added. They claim in this latest patch to have changed PMCs to no longer spawn at PoIs and instead head towards them, doesn't really seem any different than before as far as like spawning at knight buildings across from Glukhar and whatnot. Haven't really checked Streets where they'd spawn on top of Kaban more often than not, and the few times I went woods Shturman wasn't there and PMCs were at sawmill, though it's hard to say if they were there the whole time or not. Last Shturman kill I got this patch, there were bodies there, but I spawned near the sunken town up north so they could've walked there.

TL;DR nothing too noteworthy that wouldn't be better than whatever SPT has to offer

Because no flea IS better. This freak is not a good indicator for how the system works for 99.9% of people. You can't try to balance the game around the 0.1% sweatlords, and I say that meaning that even among the SWEATIEST people desmond is like tippy-top tier. The time he puts into the game is clearly an outlier so it makes no sense to balance based on that.

The only real problem with this wipe and gear progression has been the 100% boss spawns. Even in that pic desmond is decked out in boss gear. Without that event he would be using trader gear. The level 45 is kind of irrelevant, he's still capped at lvl2 traders just like someone in their 20s. The point of no flea is that even if someone gets to lvl50 in the first week, they're still limited to gear you can get from traders and the TRADER PURCHASE LIMITS. People are forgetting that despite the fact that you can buy a lot of great shit from lvl4 traders, there is still a limit. Then follow through with that thought and understand that these people play a SHITLOAD of raids a day. So even if desmond can buy stacks of trader gear/ammo each restock, his rate of play probably gets through it too quickly anyway. I agree that the purchase limits through traders could be tweaked a bit for balance, but the idea is that without flea people who play a shitload are forced to chose different gear options because of the trader limits. The flea market is boring because people just save a preset and market purchase it over and over again.

Again I just don't get the "wipes are pointless omg" sentiment when you're crying over a very small group of people among the tens of thousands who are playing this game. A grand majority of people are still in the lvl10-25 range

BSG making sure every lobby is full of PMCs is once again turning the game into a total rat fiesta. Everyone too afraid to push out too from their spawn amd they just adopt defensive positions in their area.

Ratting will always exist as the strat of choice for the unconfident (see: 70% of players) so long as the consequences for death are high. And they will always be high, that's the point of the game. It's only logical then that ratting will always be a part of tarkov. It's objectively low-risk high-reward so why wouldn't they do it? Ratting/camping is less attractive in games like CoD or CsGO because there's a leaderboard ratting doesn't net a lot of kills, only a few safe ones. But tarkov doesn't follow that system, getting 1 safe kill in a raid nets more progression than 3 kills where you die to your 4th encounter. You can't balance ratting out of tarkov, people will never move, that strat follows naturally from the core philosophy of the game.

Ratting will always exist yes, but fuller lobbies means more ratting. The less freedom of movement players have, the more they will focus on holding chokes. The more freedom of movement the less choke points matter, the chokes can be circumnavigated. Players then have to either roam for kills or head towards the typic contested loot spawn.

Every Customs, Woods, and GZ today I've ran has had PMCs still squabbling near spawn and loot spots with 10 minutes of raid left to spare.

The sheer number of people Player scavving also adds an extra layer of having to play things extra slow for the PMCs.

Also, I didnt realize how important this was (for me atleast, but pick a raid with good weather and with a lot of sun light. An evening raid with a lot of rain has gotten me killed more times than I can count. Every map in EFT Arena is broad day light or fully lit, Tarkov has a lot of dark shadows. Flash lights are a must imo.

Sure fewer people in the lobby means you won't encounter people as often, maybe that means more spontaneous "we both hear eachother at once" interactions, but it still doesn't change the natural inclination for players to freeze in place and wait for their prey to come to them. If you simply don't make a lot of noise while moving around, you can still easily hear people before they get a chance to hear you. That's what a lot of "ratting" kills are, the guy didn't post up all raid he was simply nearby and just froze until you walked into him. Case in point last raid on customs me and another guy hear eachother so I reposition to approach from a new angle and I hear him coming for me too. Then I see him at the doorway and it turns out it was just a scav! I kill it then go back to looting the building. 10 minutes later I'm leaving the building and pass the corner where I first encountered that scav. To my surprise there's a pmc crouched in that corner, he didn't fucking move at all for 10 minutes since we heard eachother and took a few shots, he just froze. Meanwhile a scav spawned right on top of him but ran towards me instead, totally misleading me. Needless to say I died kek. But it goes to show that when two parties can't see eachother, there's an obvious incentive for one just to just freeze while he listens to you do all your other stuff.
