There are definitely some people that are still salty about one of Lajest's animations where Eunectes from Arknights grows, and then it abruptly ends with his OC crushing the entire city. I'm not saying that's the sole reason they hate OCs, but they definitely don't like the idea of combining OCs and existing properties, since they either take the spotlight or are a blatant self-insert.

In that case, who is his kitsune OC a copy-paste of? Normally I'm a fan of absolutely OP characters like her, but it seems like Lajest wants to make an actual story with conflict and stakes, and those two things don't mix well. I think that's the other reason why people have a problem with Lajest's OCs specifically, no one here really cares about story and lore, they just want to see giant women.
