>Out of the iconic weapons he listed only bolt pistols were added later
Nope, wrong
There was a single Power Sword, a single Force Sword and single Chain Sword. 2h versions of Power and Force sword were added recently, Chainaxe was added later, Crusher was added later. We still only have a single Bolter and a single Plasma Gun, a single Flamer and so on. Barely anything exists
>a picture of space marine weapons
It's a cool picture of Imperial weaponry, with humans having their own versions of those. Tons of 40k unique weapons are still not in game because they chose to make a shovelrino and ak47 instead. No pistols in melta, plasma, flamer varieties even. No meltas in general. No power/chain fists. No gun and sword weapons. Lack of shield weapons they could port from VT2 even.

That's not even to mention lack of Xeno weaponry either, which is unavailable since unlike superior VT2 where they included playable Dwarf and Elf with access to their own weapons, we only have rejects here
> with like a third of them being bolters to boor?
There should be multiple versions of bolters and plasma guns instead of generic guns from which I can shoot in any generic modern FPS. Fatshark incorrectly allocated resources and manpower to make incorrect weapons

>bunch of regular human criminals
Explicitly the point. Darktide premise is an objectively incorrect idea, an incorrect concept, fundamentally an incorrect design. We should be an elite, trusted retinue of an Inquisitor and not this

>Because you are
That's what game insists, despite it clashing with what you actually are
>It's irrelevant
It's not, it's integral to it while being utterly at odds with it. It's the worst clash of gameplay and story I ever saw in any game
>don't play above it
Doesn't matter what difficulty they play at. Sending 4 generic criminals on a spec ops missions against trained military defies any logic, wouldn't work within the setting and so is utterly nonsensical
