This almost sounds correct on paper, but it actually doesn't reflect reality. Titan Quest II has garnered tons of positive feedback and its content is barely a fraction of what PoE 2 offered at launch, and it's only slightly cheaper than PoE 2.
Similarly, Last Epoch went through a very troubled development and it took several years before it exited Early Access, and even the 1.0 release was terrible, with servers not working for the first few days.
It's PoE 2 specifically that is being held to a much higher standard than the rest - which is not entirely unfounded, mind you - but I see a particular brand of doomer bullshit that I'm getting very skeptical of.
