I actually agree with several of crusader's points about the game and the direction of the story and characters and have always maintained that toby is a hack and everyone would have more fun playing any of the games he was inspired by even remotely.
I just try to be way more chill about it and only tell people to play Chrono Trigger/Cross like once a week instead of several times a day. Saturation of opinion doesn't make it more correct or liked. I'm far more invested in my time here than the money and time I threw at Toby to play his games on the Nintendo Switch.
