IMO all of the games up to Underground were good, Underground 2 has a cringe Jackass humor story but the gameplay is basically just more Underground, American Wasteland was still good but it was the start of the decline from there.
Project 8 and Proving Ground are incredibly forgettable and not worth playing, none of the other games since have been a proper Tony Hawk game until 1+2 and 3+4.
