You have no idea how difficult "just stop buying their shit" is in the U.S.
We don't really have a choice here. There's no such things as mom and pop shops in most areas and where there are the products are pretty much produced by these other companies.
Oh and then you find that it's a spiderweb of ownership so while you may be boycotting one brand or "company" you're just giving money to the same parent company through another route.
The age of businesses that have no relation to anything on the stock market is over.
