Gnosticism is only like this if you focus too much on the negative aspect. If you think this reality is all love and light and are ok with stuff going on then you were retarded anyway. The point is not to trust anything at face value. Not all Gnosticism is abrahamis in nature , and the idea of the Demiurge (not originally an evil being) comes from Plato.
