It would be easier to recommend stuff, if you said what you especially liked about VII. However since you loved it generally, VI is the most like VII, so that's a great bet and my first choice for you. If you want something that's notably different yet robust to show what the series has to offer, go with V. If you want something with an emphasis on story and characters, go with IV, VI or X.
But beyond positive indicators, if you want to be freeform about your next game, it can be I, III, IV, V, VI, X, XIII or XVI. (Technically you can also move onto Before Crisis: Final Fantasy VII, but that one you can only watch on Youtube.) Always remember, if a game isn't getting you hooked, drop it with extreme prejudice, because another game in the series will probably be much more up your alley, since they're significantly different from each other.
The only ones I would actively discourage you from playing are IX (should be played only after you've played at least two of the I to VI games for greater enjoyment), II & XII (unless you're into seriousness), VIII & XV (unless you're into real life) and XI & XIV (unless you desire an MMO).
