Why did everyone develop a cold all of a sudden yesterday?

I talked to an American Jew at work today. What I sort of found weird is that hes pro minorities and liberal but his takes on Gaza were like wipe them off face of earth. WTF is up with Jews being soft hearted Jews in US but are blood lusting demons back in their homes. Are they at all aware of their cognitive dissonance
